Did you know that I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 22? Yep, right before I found out that I was pregnant with Jacob. I’ve been able to avoid medication with nutrition and supplements but I always thought that I wouldn’t be able to lift weights. My hands and wrists are where I get the most pain so the idea of holding a dumbbell sounded impossible.
WRONG! By starting with light weights and taking it slow while being consistent with my workouts I have been able to go from 2 pound dumbbells to 20s. It doesn’t matter where you start as long as you START. Get out of your head and turn those thoughts of “I can’t” into “I can” or at least “let me try and see what happens”. We are capable of so much more than what we realize.
